The Giovanni Consort, conducted by Dr. Robert Braham
In the final concert of their 2017 season, The Giovanni Consort presents a program of sublime British music written in the Twentieth and Twenty First Century.
No country can rival Great Britain’s relationship with choral music. From Thomas Tallis and William Byrd to present day composers like Gabriel Jackson or Paul Mealor, choral music has been a strong part of Britain’s cultural identity.
The Giovanni Consort will shine a light on some of the recent offerings of this rich choral library, in the setting of Christ Church Claremont. Conducted by Dr Robert Braham, who brings with him a vast expertise of contemporary choral music, we will offer such gems as John Tavener's Song for Athene, A Dream by Howard Skempton and Mealor’s Stabat Mater.
We encourage you to join us for our final concert performance of the year, as this event will be truly spectacular.
