Australasia in the Caberet Cave
Saturday 2nd June, 7pm to 8:45pm
The Giovanni Consort want to take you on a journey underground to experience music from Australia, China and Japan. From our initial visits, this concert is not to be missed.
This page is to help you find the venue and prepare for your trip to Yanchep National Park. You'll find maps, parking information and notes on our special pick up and drop off bus service from the UWA music school in Crawley.
Finding the Caberet Cave
The Caberet cave is at the far end of the Yanchep National Park from the south side security booth. The toll-gate will be left open on concert night and some signs will help you find the cave. This being said, we do recommend you plan your journey and take a map on paper or on a mobile phone when you come. We are offering a bus service from the UWA club, Crawley to help with more details below.
We are acutely aware that this unique performance venue is a considerable distance away from our normal performance spaces. As a result, we have decided to provide a coach option to transport audience members who do not wish to drive to the cave. This will depart the University club at 5:15pm, arriving at the cave no later than 30 minutes before the beginning of the concert. The same bus will depart again at the conclusion of the performance; approximately 8:30pm. It should return to UWA no later than 9:45pm. Please note that for our Patrons this service is free, but for all other audience members there will be a charge of $10 per person (available to book here).
Bus Pick up from UWA, Crawley
Here is a link to a map of where the bus pick up location is at the bus bay just outside the University Club of UWA. A ticket can be purchased with your concert ticket for an additional $10 via our ticketing site.
Caberet Cave on the Map
Here is a link to the map on Google Maps. You can drive from the Perth CBD within 50 minutes along well lit, sealed roads right up to the Park security box. Do plan your trip to feel more comfortable about directions once you're in to the park.
Once you're at the cave
Plenty of parking is available at the cave and wheelchair access is available if you let a staff member at the door know. Bathrooms are available at the entry to the cave. A cash bar will be available before the concert and at interval (since the bar is in the cave, card payments are not possible).
